Shown below is the design and concept that was built at 272 Friend Street in Boston, MA to clearly follow the national and state regulations and follow all compliance codes.

Customer Flow

Security and Cameras

How the customers will be traveling through the store. With each marker showing the exact movement and direction throughout the layout of the store.

Floor layout that shows the location of each card reader on the first floor and basement level. Also highlighting the limited access areas. 

One layout displaying product deliveries to the store during Open Hours and Off Hours step by step. Another layout displaying how product will travel from the Vault to the POS stations step by step.

Customers​ that have a confirmed order will arrive at the main entrance and have their ID visually verified for age limit. 

 

Customers will queue in the vestibule until they reach the next available kiosk. 

The security kiosk employee will scan their ID with the identification system to gain access to the sales floor. 
 

A Greeter welcomes the customer and directs them to the appropriate location to queue.

 

Customers will queue until the next available POS is available to complete their transactions.

The employee will confirm the order and will process the transaction and direct the customer towards the exit. 

The customer is directed towards the dedicated vestibule to exit the store.

Each blue marker points the location to a card reader. Each door with a CR point cannot be opened unless authorized to do so. 

The limited access areas are highlighted in yellow and are not accessible to the public. Only to authorized personnel with an issued key card.

Product Flow - into the dispensary

Product is unloaded and one security guard stays with the truck until it leaves and another escorts the product into the store. 

The security escort and authorized personnel enter the gate in the alleyway using a key card.

 

The product is brought into the building through the back entrance using a key card and take the stair down to the basement level.

The security escort enter the basement level with the product and oversees the unloading process.

The Product is placed onto the industrial scale and is weighed before entering the Vault.

The product manager processes the delivery and completes the documentation for the product to enter the Vault. 

The product enters the Vault and is organized and added to the inventory.

Product is unloaded and one security guard stays with the truck until it leaves and another escorts the product into the store. 

The security escort and authorized personnel enter the store with a keycard and the product is escorted across the sales floor.

 

The security escort and authorized personnel travel down to the basement in the elevator.

The Product is placed onto the industrial scale and is weighed before entering the Vault.

The product manager processes the delivery and completes the documentation for the product to enter the Vault. 

The product enters the Vault and is organized and added to the inventory.

The product is moved out of the Vault every morning for fulfillment operations to processes orders.

 

The order is confirmed via QR code reader and filled by the fulfillment associate.

The product is packaged and locked into a cart or tray based on the size of volume being processed.

The product travels in the elevator if it is a cart load or up the stairs if it is in a tray. Both options being securely locked.

The product travels across the sales floor securely to the correct POS station (North or South POS)​.

The product is placed into the correct bins at the back of the POS cabinet that can only be accessed and seen by authorized personnel for transactions.

The employee finds the product in the correct bin and completes the transaction and hands the secure product over to the customer.

The customers exits the door with the secure product through the dedicated exit vestibule.
